THE MONCTONIAN IS BACK - REGISTRATION FOR 40TH EDITION NOW OPEN
Blair Brooks, the chairman of the Monctonian AAA Challenge, is pleased to announce that the 40th edition of the tournament will take place this fall.  The Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers will again host the largest AAA tournament east of Montreal. Dates for the event are November 18th - 21st, 2021.  Games will be played at the Superior Propane Centre in Moncton. The Monctonian welcomes registrations from U18 AAA, U16 AAA, and U15 AAA teams.   Registration form and tournament information can be found in the Event Info section. MONCTONIAN CHALLENGE A CASUALTY OF COVID-19 - 40TH EDITION WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL 2021
Blair Brooks, the chairman of the Monctonian Challenge, has announced today that the 2020 tournament has been cancelled.The Monctonian is the longest running showcase tournament in Atlantic Canada and was scheduled to celebrate its 40th anniversary this year. The tournament committee made the difficult but inevitable decision that, given the uncertainty of the pandemic, hosting a tourney of this magnitude with teams from across Canada would be  impossible this year. FLYERS CAPTURE 39TH MONCTONIAN
The Moncton Rallye Motors Nissan Flyers broke out to a big lead and hung on for a dramatic 6 - 5 win over the Cole Harbour Wolfpack to capture the 39th Monctonian Major Midget title. The Flyers got two goals from championship game MVP Dominic LeBlanc and single markers from Alex Ferguson, Alexis Daniel, and Tristan Sanchez to jump out to a seemingly safe 5 - 1 lead in the second period.  Cole Harbour refused to give up and scored 4 unanswered goals to tie the game with 12 minutes remaining in the game. MONCTON HAWKS CAPTURE MONCTONIAN MAJOR BANTAM CROWN
The Moncton Hawks worked overtime to win the 39 th Monctonian Major Bantam championship. Jack MacNeish scored the overtime winner at 7:28 of the extra frame to give the Hawks the hard-fought victory over the excellent KV Kings team. Phillippe Collette scored for the Hawks in the second to tie the game.  Noah Ryan opened the scoring for the Kings in the first. Goaltender Samuel LeBlanc was stellar in goal which garnered him MVP honours for the championship game. [Full Story]

BASIN ARMADA CAPTURE MINOR MIDGET CHAMPIONSHIP
The Basin Armada defeated the ChiroCare Kings 2 - 1 to capture the minor midget crown at the 39th Monctonian. Championship game MVP Ryan Farrow and Luke Pottie scored for the Armada while Garret MacLean answered for the Kings. [Full Story]
